What to do to become a Freemason |
||||
Freemasonry does not seek members through membership drives. The individual should seek Masonry and make known his desire to become a Mason. You may be invited by a friend to become a Freemason but the decision must be yours. If you are interested in becoming a Freemason, you should ask a friend who is a Freemason to secure a petition for you or you can also download the form here. Advise your friend of your wish to become a member or contact directly the Lodge Secretary to ask for advice in the matter. The Mason or the Secretary will assist you by introducing you to officers of the Lodge, should you desire additional information pertaining to the Fraternity. Membership requirements · male · at least 18 years of age · able to profess a belief in God · of good character · a resident of New Mexico for the six months immediately preceding his petition The petitioner must be recommended by one member of the Lodge to which application is made and by one New Mexico Mason. For further information, please contact the Lodge Master or the Lodge Secretary. |
