Mountaintop 81: Brethren, September 4th @11:00 AM we will again be down the hill to Tularosa Lodge. I am positive that we will have a lunch that will whet everyone’s appetite. It is not too soon to start making plans for 2011, we have had a pretty good year this year. I do believe that everyone enjoyed the outdoor degree and lunch. It is time to decide it we want to make that an annual happening. I have had some suggestions for costumes, and other items that might make it a little more memorable for the candidate and each Mason attending. We also need to plan other activities that will really put Timberon and Mountain Top lodge on the map and be something extra special in New Mexico. But, if we do decide to continue with the outdoor lets not plan during the monsoon season. We also have the trailer that we need to dispose of, and we need to make sure that there are no reprecessions forth coming. Specifically if we expect to have some one living in it, it does need to be sanitized before that happens.. Also we have much paraphernalia that we will have to find some place to store.. Plan to be in lodge for the first Saturday in September, I and your officers look forward to visiting with each and every one of you. Bill Beckett, Master. |

OUTDOOR DEGREE For all of you who were not fortunate enough to attend the outdoor degree at Mountain Top Daylight Lodge #81 on July 10th, you missed one of—if not the most impressive degrees seen in this area in many, many years. The work that was performed by members of several of the Lodges in the 11th district captured the real meaning of Masonry in the early years. This was truly a perfect setting on the Circle Cross Ranch with the actual “highest hills and Lowest vales”. If there were such a thing as a rain god he cooperated, with intermittent showers—that is until, at the end when PGM Bill Beckett was giving the lecture and the heavens opened up with a downpour that had Brother Bill having to shout to be heard. Needless to say the Lodge closed in the short form! Sorry that you missed it. Harry West, PM |
